Troop 164 attends Raven Knob Summer Camp

6 Scouts and 3 adults from Troop 164 attended Raven Knob Boy Scout Summer Camp in Mount Airy, NC from July 9-15, 2017.  Scouts from across the Eastern seaboard and even from around the world came to Camp Raven Knob to experience all that the Scouting program has to offer. From classic merit badges such as cooking, leatherwork, and swimming, all the way to high adventure programs and whitewater canoeing trips.

Troop 164 represented the Tidewater Council well by earning “Merit Troop” recognition for maintaining a clean and organized campsite, completing a Conservation Project, bringing donations for the Food Bank and for participating in all camp activities in a manner reflecting the Scout Oath and Law.

A big thank you goes out to the Adult Leaders who helped make this trip possible. From Camp Registration, Travel to and from camp and helping lead the scouts throughout the week it would not have been possible without the help of countless leaders. Thank you all.
