Tiger Den visits 1887 Roanoke River Lighthouse

On October 3, 2014 Tiger Cubs from Pack 164 visited the 1887 Roanoke River Lighthouse at the Historic Edenton Waterfront. Built in 1886, the restored Roanoke River Lighthouse now stands proudly in the harbor at Edenton, NC.  The lighthouse first served as a guide for ships navigating the waters of the Albemarle Sound into the Roanoke River, and then, after being decommissioned in 1941, was moved by barge across the sound to private land, and finally to the Edenton Waterfront.

A big thank you goes out to our tour guide Judy. She was very informative and helpful. For more information on the Roanoke River Lighthouse please visit www.edentonlighthouse.org.
